Declared a Natural Park and Biosphere Reserve, where nature unfolds at its best. Hike the trails that wind through green meadows and lush forests, breathing in the pure mountain air. Access to Lake Somiedo is not allowed for vehicles so you must walk.

You can leave the motorhome in the areas set up for this purpose or sleep in one of the campsites available in the area.

We continue 30 km towards Gijón, a coastal city that seamlessly fuses its maritime heritage with a vibrant cultural scene. At this stop you can choose to take a quick tour of the city in one day or deepen your experience by sleeping there and extending your stay by a day and a half or two.
San Lorenzo Beach
Start your day at the expansive San Lorenzo Beach, breathe in the saline breeze, and soak in the city’s beach vibe. Take advantage and enjoy a relaxing walk by the sea to the statue of the “Lloca del Rinconín”.
If you are not used to bathing in the north, remember that the sea level rises and falls completely. We recommend that you keep an eye out for the loudspeakers that always report the hours of greatest drop and rise in sea level.
Old Town
Change of scenery and enter the old town of Gijón. The Plaza Mayor is a lively meeting point, surrounded by local cafes and shops. Immerse yourself in the authentic atmosphere of the city.

Covadonga
Head towards the Lakes of Covadonga, a natural gem high in the Picos de Europa. The winding climb will reward you with spectacular scenery. Visit the Sanctuary of Covadonga, a sacred site nestled between mountains. The Basilica and the Holy Cave house historical and religious elements. Discover the history of King Pelayo and the Battle of Covadonga, which marked the beginning of the Reconquista. The sanctuary’s location, surrounded by nature, makes it a spiritual and picturesque place. Access is limited to certain hours for private vehicles but you can also access it in the coaches that are available.
